Thankful Thursday #23

1. This week, in that cold and gloomy part of winter that seems to stretch out flat forever, I’m thankful for the little moments that make me think bears have the right idea with that whole hibernation thing: homemade meals with dear friends; tea and learning to knit with my aunt; curling up to watch a show that pretends to be about football but is secretly determined to make me cry from carefully handled moments of near-perfection (that sounds like ridiculous exaggeration, but instead of killing your brain, this show makes your heart grow three sizes); discovering a new-to-you song that has apparently been hiding in your music library for months, patiently waiting for the perfect moment for you to hear it; creating the worst – but also most hilarious – draft Save the Date cards for my sister’s wedding (laughing so hard you’re crying is the best part).

2. I am thankful that in a month where a horrifying thing like this happened, there are still creative people halfway around the world coming up with ideas like this:
